FULL ANSWER

This unfounded claim seems to be only for economic gain by the ones who have been distributing the false information. Multiple phony posts were determined to be stemmed from an extortion attempt, from approximately three years ago, against Los Angeles businessman Arsen Samvelian. The LAPD had retained one report from last year and will be taking a new report once these fake posts have been translated. Seems like there are new investigations, both criminal and civil ongoing. Arsen Samvelian’s lawyers confirmed that these new phony posts were a response to a civil extortion and defamation case filed in July 2025 and will be added criminal extortion case opened in 2024. New charges should also be filed in January 2026.

On March 18, 2026, the Devonshire Division of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) documented a police report containing fabricated allegations and false statements made by a disgruntled former employee of the businessman. The Division also reviewed evidence of an extortion payment made to that same former employee in response to threats directed at Mr. Samvelian.

This Statement has been updated to reflect newly obtained information, including court-appointed translations of extortion-related posts and recorded phone calls directed at Arsen Samvelian, which constitute evidence of extortion for monetary gain. Court records as of June 3rd, 2026 further indicate that, once criminal charges were contemplated, the perpetrators admitted to conspiring to produce defamatory material, agreed to remove fabricated social media posts, and acknowledged engaging in malicious falsehoods, spiteful rumors, character assassination, false accusations, and other untruthful statements in an effort to secure a more lenient settlement than would otherwise be imposed by the court.
